Supervisor, Client Services - Community Education Centers (Susanville, CA)

Summary of Duties:
The Supervising Counselor coordinates the daily scheduling and delivery of substance abuse treatment and is responsible for scheduling of inmates into IPTCSAP activities and for directing Counselors in the formal and competent implementation of the client treatment plan.
The supervising Counselor is responsible for coordinating client continuing care with all program staff and secure maintenance and storage of client records.
Additional Requisites:
Within one (1) year of hire into the IPTCSAP, the Supervising Counselor shall be certified in Forensic Addiction Corrections Treatment (FACT).
The accrediting educational institution shall use criteria consistent with standards for addiction counselor staff competencies developed by UCSD If FACT certification is not obtained the Supervising Counselor must obtain a substance abuse counseling certification recognized by the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs.
Minimum Qualifications - The Supervising Counselor must meet one of the following combinations of Formal Education and/or relevant
Experience:
Possess A four (4)-year degree in Behavioral Sciences or related field and the equivalent of one (1) year of full time experience supervising counseling staff in substance abuse programs for the criminal justice population; or The equivalent of three (3) cumulative years of full time experience supervising counseling staff in substance abuse programs for the criminal justice population; or The equivalent of five (5) cumulative years of full time experience as a journey-level counselor in substance abuse programs for the criminal justice population.
